The repair
This vintage brown talking bear with a Press heart on the foot arrived silent when the switch was pressed. We opened the battery box, cleaned corrosion from the contacts, repaired the trigger harness, and replaced tired wiring to the speaker. The plush received a light clean and minor stitching at the access seam. The heart module now plays phrases reliably again.

Shaggy synthetic pile in a seated style. Typical of 1980s–1990s Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Korea sound-in-plush imports (compare Emson, PBC, or gift-line bears with heart foot switches). Battery box and speaker live in the body; confirm OEM from the battery door or a surviving sewn label.
