The repair
This Sega Toys Anpanman Kotoba Zukan DX set came in with an intermittent fault — sometimes the talking pen and book responded to the pages, sometimes not, which made the problem harder to pin down. We disassembled the pen and book case, cleaned and rebuilt the battery contacts, replaced a tired switch and connector, and worked through trial-and-error testing until touch prompts and vocabulary sounds played consistently again.
