Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS pair — circuit board repair and power filtering
Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS pair
Two Pikachu-themed Gold & Silver-era gadgets had unstable power and noise on the boards. We repaired the electronic circuit boards and added filtering capacitors so both units run cleanly again.
“Wonderful service! Really appreciate Grace taking the time and looking at two rescue gadgets and bringing them back to life. Highly recommend to anyone hoping to give their toys a second chance.”
Work in progress
The repair
Both handhelds showed classic signs of tired power paths — rail sag, ripple, or resets under load — beyond a simple battery swap. We repaired the electronic circuit boards where traces or parts had failed, then added filtering capacitors on the supply sections so the logic and audio stages see stable DC. After burn-in testing, both Pikachu units held stable operation.
About this item
A Pokemon Pikachu pair in a Gold/Silver-era style aligns with the franchise's major expansion around the 1999-2001 period and its long-running licensed merchandise programs. Official products are tied to The Pokemon Company/Nintendo licensing and were produced by multiple makers across regions. Depending on format (plush or figures), materials are usually polyester textile bodies or PVC/ABS molded parts with painted features.
