Harold singing reindeer — neck gearbox gear and animatronics restored
Harold singing reindeer
Harold's head had stopped turning and his mouth no longer moved with the music. We opened the costume, reached the neck gearbox, replaced the failed gear, reinforced the neck connection, and reassembled — head and mouth move in time with the song again.

The repair
Harold arrived with the animatronics stalled: his head no longer turned, the movement motor was silent, and his mouth stayed still instead of syncing with the song. We removed the costume and opened the plush shell to reach the neck connector and gearbox. The worn gear inside the neck drive was replaced, the assembly was put back together, and the neck connection was reinforced so the head mount stays secure under motion. After repair, Harold's head turns again and his mouth moves along with the music — back to the full singing reindeer routine.
About this item
Harold singing reindeer is a seasonal novelty plush/animatronic style common in Christmas retail from the late 1990s onward. Named reindeer characters were often sold as countertop gifts with music and simple movement loops. Typical build uses polyester plush over a plastic internal frame with motorized head/body motion and a battery-powered sound board.
