Santa Homer animatronic — gears, belt, and mechanism rebuild
Santa Homer Simpson animatronic
This Santa Homer Simpson animatronic had seized motion and broken internal supports. We stripped and cleaned the Santa costume, replaced failed gearbox gears and the drive belt, repaired arm and head joints, repainted the head, and reassembled him for display again.

The repair
Homer arrived in his Santa outfit with the movement mechanism failing — worn gears, a broken rubber belt, and cracked supports at the arm and shoulder. We disassembled the figure, removed the Santa costume for a deep clean, and opened the gearbox. New gears were sourced and fitted where originals had stripped, the rubber belt in the moving mechanism was replaced, and broken arm supports plus the head attachment joint were repaired. The head received a repaint where finish had chipped, then costume, chassis, and electronics were reassembled and tested so Homer animates reliably again.
About this item
Santa Homer Simpson animatronics are licensed seasonal tie-in collectibles combining The Simpsons branding with Christmas novelty motion toys. Most examples date to 2000s-era character-merch waves where pop-culture mascots were adapted into festive decor. Typical construction includes molded plastic components, textile Santa costume elements, and a battery-operated motor/sound assembly.
