White press-heart talking teddy — repair

White press-heart teddy — voice, plush, and ribbon restore

White press-heart talking teddy

NeedleworkElectronic

23 May 2026

A cream-white press-heart talking teddy arrived grubby and silent, with torn plush and a frayed neck ribbon. We deep cleaned the bear, repaired the sound module with fresh wiring, closed holes and tears, replaced the ribbon, and touched up the finish so the red heart speaks again.

“Grace was amazing! She not only repaired my son's teddy bear, but she washed it and made it better than before. I would recommend her services to anyone who needs a toy repaired anytime.”

— Lisa M.

The repair

The teddy had grubby pile, a torn belly opening, and holes in the fabric from years of cuddling. The press-heart voice box was silent — corrosion on the wiring between the heart switch and the speaker module. We deep cleaned the plush, replaced the corroded wire in the sound circuit so the module plays again, stitched closed tears and holes, fitted a new organza ribbon at the neck, and touched up the finish so the bear looks clean and the red heart speaks clearly again.

About this item

This cream-white seated teddy is a Valentine-style press-heart talking plush: shaggy synthetic pile, bead eyes, stitched nose, a glossy red plastic heart on the chest, and a red organza neck ribbon. Pressing the heart triggers a small in-body sound box with a cross-pattern speaker grille — the same gift-line format seen on 1990s–2000s Hallmark-style and import bears (compare Heartly-type white talking teddies or generic recordable heart modules in plush). Construction is polyester plush and fiberfill around a removable voice module and battery holder. Identify by the chest heart activator, white/cream colourway, and rectangular white sound box; sewn or stamped tags on the foot or seam confirm the maker when still present.
