This animated Santa with grandfather clock needed a motor swap. We disassembled the figure, disconnected the wiring, fitted a replacement motor, rewired the drive, and reassembled him so the animation runs again.

The repair

Santa’s animation motor had failed. We disassembled the figure to reach the drive, disconnected the wiring, removed the old motor, fitted a replacement, rewired the connections, and reassembled the costume and chassis so the motion runs cleanly again.

About this item

This seated Santa beside a green grandfather clock matches mid-1990s Holiday Creations–style animated Christmas displays. Typical features are Santa on a stool with wire glasses, a white quill pen, red trousers with fur trim and a green vest, a tall clock with Roman-numeral face and pendulum window, a “24 DEC” style date tag, a gift sack at the base, and a red coat draped on the clock. Related Holiday Creations pieces from about 1993–1995 often combined plug-in animation (head and arm motion) with a working quartz clock and sometimes music or a cassette storyteller. Construction is a plastic chassis under textile costume on a felt-topped display base with an AC cord and control knob. Exact maker/year on this example is identified from construction and scene style rather than a confirmed readable label in the photos.
